This project marked my first contracted engagement with the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC)and involved a two-fold scope: the design of comprehensive conference materials for their annual convention and trade show, alongside a soft redesign of the organization’s logo.

The conference work focused on creating high-quality, multi-page publication layouts to support complex informational content, including detailed agendas, schedules, speaker bios, and sponsor advertisements. Drawing on my background in print and editorial design, the layouts emphasize clarity, hierarchy, and pacing—ensuring dense content remained legible, navigable, and professional for a national conference audience.

In parallel, a soft logo redesign was developed to modernize NAIHC’s visual identity while preserving brand recognition. The redesign retains the organization’s central icon from the previous mark, reinterpreted through a more asymmetrical composition and contemporary typographic treatment. This approach respected the organization’s established credibility while subtly updating the visual language to better align with its current scope and professional context.

Together, the publication system and logo refresh function as a cohesive visual framework—supporting both informational needs and brand presence across conference materials. This project reflects my approach to institutional design work: balancing continuity and evolution, honoring legacy while introducing clarity and modernity through disciplined design decisions.
