Ray Rivera (Yaqui and Ventureno Chumash) is a Los Angeles–based graphic designer working across print, publication, and digital design, with a focus on clear communication through narrative- and data-driven visual systems. With over a decade of professional experience, Ray has collaborated with publishers, nonprofits, advocacy organizations, and mission-driven teams on work spanning cultural programming, environmental communication, academic publishing, and public-facing campaigns.

His practice is rooted in clarity, accessibility, and disciplined execution—supporting projects that require strong typographic hierarchy, thoughtful layout, and cohesive visual storytelling across formats. As a Native designer, Ray brings lived experience and cultural competency to his work, approaching each project with intention, responsibility, and respect for audience and context.

Ray is known for a reliable, structured working style and for translating complex ideas into visuals that are both functional and engaging. His experience spans multi-page publications, original illustration, advocacy graphics, institutional communications, and integrated print and digital systems—supporting work that is designed to be used, circulated, and understood.

In 2026, Ray was selected for the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs pre-qualified roster for Community Regenerative Art, supporting future public-facing cultural and community-based projects across Los Angeles.
